Job Description: Senior ERP Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Senior ERP Project Manager is responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of all ERP Projects (Small & Large) and Enhancements (Major & Minor) within the ERP environments supported SAP (PR1, C11, ROC, LSG), JDE E1 and Navision within their designated region. This will be achieved through personally managing projects / enhancements and proactive engagement and oversight of project managers responsible for ERP projects / enhancements with the designated region.

The Senior ERP Project Manager will partner closely with the EAS PMO to ensure that the Project Management Framework (PMF) is well understood, communicated and that all projects within the designated region are executed according to the PMF.

The Senior ERP Project Manager is responsible for executing against the ERP Delivery Strategy to ensure that a “best in class” status is achieved which will be evidenced through the consistent attainment of key project and enhancement delivery metrics.

The Senior ERP Project Manager will be accountable for all ERP Delivery matters within the designated region and as such will be the key contact for businesses that are enabled by supported ERP instances.

The Senior ERP Project Manager will partner closely with the Director EAS PMO and the Director, IT – Quality & Compliance to ensure that all ERP delivery activity conforms to SDLC standards set as well as Quality & Compliance procedures adhered to when delivering in a validated environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing against the ERP Delivery Strategy
  • Effective and efficient management of ERP Delivery activity within the designated region
  • Deliver and manage project /enhancement estimation processes and tools
  • Effective management of project / enhancement resources and relationships with Software Vendors and Systems Integrators
  • Management and accountability for the achievement of all ERP Change Delivery Metrics (SLAs) within the designated region
    • Project Delivery
    • Enhancement Delivery
  • Management of Root Cause Analysis for all project and enhancement delivery issues to ensure that underlying causes are eradicated and that all Change (Projects & Enhancements) Delivery activity meets or exceeds “Best in Class” benchmarks within the designated region
  • Management of the activity related to Quality & Compliance to ensure that instances of ERP that require to be maintained in a validated state are maintained as such and that NC (Non Conformance)’s that may arise are appropriately responded to and resolved
  • Effectively manage the relationship with internal business customers within the region and vendors (Internal & External) across the globe
  • Provide monthly report out of Regional ERP Delivery metrics to business partners
  • Gather and effectively use regional data to inform strategy and deliver continuous improvement initiatives focused on the attainment of “Best In Class” ERP delivery
  • Actively plan for and participate in Project Assessments across the lifecycle of Changes (Projects & Enhancements) to ensure that potential delivery issues are proactively identified and addressed
  • Align with Director EAS PMO
  • Align with Director, IT – Quality & Compliance

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • Minimum of 5 years of SAP Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with SDLC
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering in a validated environment
  • 10 years of experience in a similarly complex technical organization
  • Must have the ability to question the status quo
  • Ability to explain and champion detailed technical concepts to peers and management
  • Ability to translate details into specific tasks needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Proven ability to navigate the technology environment and work effectively with multiple groups around the globe
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate information to both technical and non-technical staff and management
  • Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate and manage in a matrix organization with multiple business partners and IT colleagues on a remote basis

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

ERP Project Management experience with evidence of being able to deliver continuous improvement
