Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop methods for several clinical applications, such as therapeutic drug monitoring or drugs of abuse
  • Develop simple sample preparation and/or extraction strategies for blood and urine samples
  • Test different method configurations and define optimum parameters
  • Transfer methods to different instrument types, such as ion traps, triple quadrupoles and Orbitraps
  • Exchange information with external collaborators and implement feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (e.g. Bachelor’s) in chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline
  • Post-graduate experience in mass spectrometry
  • Good communication skills and ability to efficiently present and explain scientific results to people with different backgrounds
  • Self-motivated and sense of ownership over the project in order to bring it to successful completion
  • Hands-on experience with ambient ionization techniques is a plus
  • Experience working with clinical samples such as blood and urine is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD candidate
