Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop methods for several clinical applications, such as therapeutic drug monitoring or drugs of abuse
- Develop simple sample preparation and/or extraction strategies for blood and urine samples
- Test different method configurations and define optimum parameters
- Transfer methods to different instrument types, such as ion traps, triple quadrupoles and Orbitraps
- Exchange information with external collaborators and implement feedback
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (e.g. Bachelor’s) in chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline
- Post-graduate experience in mass spectrometry
- Good communication skills and ability to efficiently present and explain scientific results to people with different backgrounds
- Self-motivated and sense of ownership over the project in order to bring it to successful completion
- Hands-on experience with ambient ionization techniques is a plus
- Experience working with clinical samples such as blood and urine is a plus
