Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning, Controlling and Reporting of the Commercial Business Unit Germany
  • Business partnering (analytical and decision support) with key stakeholders and functional Manager
  • Multidimensional (customers/Regions/products etc.) trend and profitability analysis
  • Provide Business Intelligence (ABC, trend analysis, ad hoc analysis etc.)
  • Avoid surprises between Actuals vs. AOP/Forecast figures
  • Provide recommendations to support management decisions to achieve continued efficiencies
  • Maintain and monitor Working Capital and Capital expenditures (CAPEX)
  • Support sales to manage contracts and customer consignment stocks
  • Support the Accounting team in closing process and external reporting
  • Work closely with shared services like Accounting and HR as well as with the European Commercial Finance team
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization and harmonization within European Commercial Operations
  • Secure internal and external reporting requirements are met and provide required information for internal and external Financial Audits

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant background
  • In depth knowledge of customer profitability and financial analysis, 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge in Excel, SAP, Cognos and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is required
  • Experience in working under SOX compliance considered a plus
  • The right candidate is self-motivated and results oriented individual with well-developed analytical skills and the ability to work with multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to communicate openly with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented, hands-on high-energy style
  • Experience in working within a global multi-site organization
  • Advanced English language skills
