The ImmunoDiagnostics division in Thermo Fisher Scientific develops, manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases.

Position Summary: The Sr. National Account Executive will be accountable for managing key commercial relationships at a select group of National Accounts with a goal of being seen as an indispensable strategic partner. The person in this role will be expected to uncover and drive strategic opportunities to optimize growth, enhance the recognition of value, and ensure the sustainability of our business relationship. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Acting as the primary liaison (commercial organization to commercial organization) in fulfilling business reviews, joint planning sessions, coordination of sales and marketing activities, communications oversight, and interaction with payers regarding policy language that might impact coverage and profitability of testing.
  • Making recommendations for expanding IDD’s strategic position and product presence through additional points of entry (ie; Women’s Health, Wellness, Managed Care, Population Health, FQHC’s, etc.)
  • Provide leadership and create opportunities for the development and implementation of system driven use of sIgE testing within health systems and payers in support of our sales efforts.
  • Interact closely with members of the National Account and Marketplace Strategy Team (strategic analysis and feedback), Marketing (resource and communications needs), Finance (data analytics), Senior National Account Executives (operational and procurement climate), and Area Directors (executional alignment).

Key Responsibilities:
The Sr. National Account Executive will be the primary liaison between IDD and the commercial organizations for a select group of defined laboratories and will be held accountable for ensuring that we are ultimately seen as a Level 5 strategic partner; an indispensable, trusted advisor. The person in this position will be accountable for enhancing actual and “perceived” value within these accounts by implementing successful business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and quality.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work independently out of your home with travel approximately 70% of the time throughout the US.
  • Strong Strategic Selling and Large Account Management skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to speak effectively and articulate company value propositions with executive level contacts is required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for strategic and analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop customer and internal relationships at all levels and comfortable working and leading in a matrix environment.
  • Must possess a detailed knowledge of healthcare delivery, the lab industry, health economics, provider/payer dynamics, and large account management.

Non-negotiable Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-10 years of successful sales/account management and or management experience in the diagnostics or medical device industry.

The person in this role may be located close to a major metropolitan area anywhere along the West Coast or in the Midwest.

This position has not been approved for relocation.
