Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain weekly revenue reporting, process improvement, system implementation, and database management
  • Provide daily / weekly primary interface with financial shared services and business unit finance functions for reporting activities, revenue, and cost
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management teams with analysis to implement process and report with accuracy productivity, inventory, E&O, etc.
  • Assist cost accounting function with inventory control activity along with transactional analysis (work orders, inventory movements, etc.)
  • Analyze revenue and cost variances to plan and work closely with shared services, business unit finance, and functional leads to understand and drive performance within budget/forecast
  • Understand key business drivers and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for decision making
  • Assist in preparing project cost tracking by developing collection methods, performing analytics, and recommend actions to rectify variances to plan
  • Support operations and engineering management in developing cost controls, measurements of performance and data to support overall business performance
  • Support development of capital plans that provide significant ROI to the business
  • Assist the materials team to develop and implement processes which improve inventory accuracy, inventory tracking and reduction of E&O
  • Develop and implement methods to improve cost and cash flow
  • Collect and report financial trends which assist the business in more efficient and effective project costing and execution.
  • Prepare and present site data on financial and overall business performance with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Be an integral part of the site leadership team and assist in developing growth opportunities and delivering the realization of on time/on budget project delivery
  • Attend to ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required
  • Perform special projects and assist the site locations on an as needed basis
Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in related Finance roles in a fast-paced, public company, manufacturing environment. Cost Accounting experience a plus
  • Track record of successful management of multiple deliverables and meeting tight deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and corporate finance
  • Self-motivated with a bias for action
  • Advanced Excel skills; modeling, pivot tables and proficiency in other MS Office applications
  • Access database experience is preferred
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (FIM) System 9 or strong aptitude for multi-dimensional financial reporting databases a plus
  • Attention to details and good balance of quality and speed
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
