Job Description

Providing engineering support across a network of fifteen (15) North American distribution centers is a focus. The global supply chain operates within a broad, distributed network, supporting 5,000+ suppliers, 200,000+ products and 350,000+ customers. Various distribution center aspects include dangerous goods, cold chain, lot control, date control and pick & pack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational improvements projects in the supply chain utilizing industrial engineering methods, including Lean principles and Practical Process Improvement.
  • Development and maintenance of written SOP’s and work instructions for distribution and other operations as determined.
  • Development and maintenance of engineered labor standards utilizing Maynard Operational Sequence Technique (MOST) and Standards PRO.
  • Engineering support for floor-level improvement projects at network distribution centers.
  • On-going procedural training support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or Business Logistics or related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Distribution/Logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated application of traditional Industrial Engineering methods.
  • Proven project and time management skills.
  • Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% is a Requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated application of traditional Industrial Engineering methods in MOST, Standards PRO, Excel, SQL, WMS.
  • Ability to work on and complete projects individually and as a member of a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels from distribution hourly workers to upper level management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills proficient in Outlook.
