Distributors Sales and Application Specialist South Italy
Field based position responsible for sales support activities, including performing instrument installations, demos, customer training, and after sales technical product support, for Anatomical Pathology instruments and consumables;
The successful candidate must have the ability to utilize effectively, communicate and perform Anatomical Pathology lab procedures best practices.
The ability to manage installations, training, and administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision is required.
Self motivation, time management and planning are essential requirements.
Traveling throughout the Italian territory is required. Some International travels are also required.
Additional responsibilities include; customer relationship management, written documentation of installation and training activities, and effective interaction and communication with Technical Support and Sales teams.
Main responsibilities of the Sales Specialist will be:
Work closely with the distributors sales teams and the Thermo Fisher Scientific Sales Manager to develop specific area/key account growth strategy;
Prepare and implement annual Territory Sales Plan and update as needed
Manage customer demonstrations of products and customer site visits as required in supporting the distributor sales team;
Support the Distributor commercial team to successfully positions Thermo Fisher’s solutions to address performance, workflow and customer’s budget requirements;
Provide effective and timely customer after-sales support (including troubleshooting and problem solving) for all Anatomical Pathology products and applications;
Support the sales team in preparing tenders and quotations to customers, providing technical advices and commercial expertise to maximize the deals win ratio;
Provide technical support and training - technical as well as commercial - to the sales team;
Provide training programs to customers;
Actively support, organize and take part in user group meetings, workshops and exhibitions.
Available to travel as necessary to meet the assigned goals;
Strong understanding of Anatomical Pathological Laboratory workflow, methods and applications.
Extended experience in Histology/Immunohistochemistry applications.
Strong self-organizational and communication skills.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
Strong presentation skills for both technical and sales related materials.
Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to compile and analyze customer feedback.
Ability to work in a team environment and influence/motivate others.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Master’s Degree in Biology, Laboratory Medicine or related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Previous experience in the same or similar role is highly desirable but not essential.
Valid driving license.
