Job Description
DUTIES:
Research and evaluate market requirements and translate them into product requirements; develop marketing requirement specifications for new products.
Evaluate performance of new products and develop key applications to support strategic and tactical marketing initiatives.
Generate materials supporting new product introductions, sales presentations, application notes, research articles, laboratory “proof” data, and other marketing collateral.
Interface with Strategic Marketing and R&E teams to ensure alignment of strategic marketing goals in specific vertical markets. Ensure hardware and software goals are consistent and coordinated for strategic market initiatives.
Support customers and assist with developing key applications.
Ensure timely and effective product introductions, including necessary product training for sales, demo chemists, instructors, and customers.
Independently develop experiments and follow through with data collection, interpretation, and presentation at technical meetings, trade shows, and other scientific forums.
Provide input for the development of MarCom collateral to effectively promote products, capabilities, and total solutions, including sales collateral, ad & mailer development, product announcements, technical articles published, sales tools, technical web content, etc. in a timely manner.
Establish and manage relationships with key collaborators.
REQUIREMENTS:
PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field of study plus 1 year of product development or related experience. Employer will accept Master’s degree and 3 years of experience as an equivalent alternative.
Must have experience or knowledge of:
Operating and maintaining HPLC and LC/MS instrumentation;
Chromatographic techniques, including method development;
Life sciences mass spectrometry;
Scientific publication record; and
Customer service experience.
TRAVEL: Travel nationally and internationally up to 25% of the time
