Position Summary:

  • Perform incoming raw material, pre-production, in-process and post-production inspections as a primary function.
  • Maintain inspections’ forms, records and logs.
  • Identify and report non-conformance material with the appropriate means.
  • Review quarantined consumables report and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain the Dock-to-Stock program for incoming materials.
  • Maintain the 5S program in the inspector’s area.
  • Label control secondary function
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Maintain material/label standards.
  • Print labels as needed.
  • Inventory put away of new and existing stock as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams (Practical Process Improvement)
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures (safety, regulatory, etc.).
  • Perform assigned tasks to support objectives of team, department and company.
  • Temporary transfer to another department may be necessary to support team, department and company objectives.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required to support team, department and company objectives.
  • Voluntary overtime may be required to support team, department and company objectives.
  • Ensure team maintains focus and build “teamwork” within the work place
  • Ensure team complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Wear proper PPE as required by Thermo Fisher Scientific safety policy.
  • Exercise proper lifting, bending and twisting techniques.
  • Ensure team maintains a safe, organized and clean work area.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
  • Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems Regulations 21CFR part 820 preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • ISO 13485 knowledge preferred
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills, or potential
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English
