Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • All the duties and responsibilities of an Associate Test Technician
  • Fundamental understanding of BOM Structure for assigned products
  • Fundamental understanding of technical drawings and quality implications
  • Capacity to test and certify assemblies to meet quality standards
  • Capacity to understand and perform documented testing protocols supporting pre-testing, testing, and final testing on assigned products.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and testing process/products
  • Perform inspection of raw materials and products to ensure acceptability
  • Process repairs on assemblies to comply to specifications within a specified lead-time
  • Perform inquiry screens on computer system
  • Capacity to collect and record data facilitating the update of databases supporting managerial reports as assigned.
  • Ability to cross train into different product line cells
  • Troubleshoot and test process/products with minimal assistance
  • Identify and solve production issues
  • Train other Technicians on new or existing processes/products
  • Cross-trained in at least two interdepartmental processes/products
  • Ability to create and update manufacturing procedures as necessary
  • Projects and other duties as assigned
  • Actively participate with Lean Manufacturing improvement initiatives including development and implementation.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Two year associate degree in electronics or similar field preferred
  • Related course work or work experience can be considered in place of education
  • Two years as an Associate Test Technician or comparable work experienc

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Consistently have met all performance factors set for an Associate Test Technician
  • Proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Proven attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Proven problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work schedule
  • Proficient with test equipment/processes used in department
  • Proven understanding of the Manufacturing Work Order and Inventory Control systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers and basic SAP skills
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Proficient understanding of electronic circuitry and mechanical aptitude required
  • Ability to work flex time between a minimum of two product

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical activities: Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, repetitive motions, crawling and reading.
  • Level of physical requirements: Medium Work. May require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Level of visual acuity: Inspection and close assembly.
  • Working conditions: Activities occur inside, ability to handle Liquid Nitrogen using defined PPE.
  • Equipment/Tools: Personal computer, hand tools
