Position Summary:

The Systems Analyst III is responsible for UK BioServices IT Service Delivery, enabling the storage and distribution of bio-material between UK BioServices and its clients. This role works closely with Fisher Clinical IT, BioServices IT and other Thermo Fisher Global IT groups to ensure a seamless delivery of IT, services and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Service delivery for the UK BioServices organisation. The primary services include: creation, modification, management and ultimately transition of processes designed to deliver IT service excellence for the UK BioServices team
  • Collaborate with business colleagues to understand and document IT requirements
  • Facilitate and drive IT project interactions between the Global BioServices team, the local UK BioServices team and IT vendors
  • Support the existing Nautilus LIMS application, assist with configuration as required
  • Facilitate compliance with a set of standards designed to simplify and standardise the IT Services provided to UK BioServices business colleagues and clients
  • Implement service escalation improvements for IT support processes and end user IT Global support services
  • Represent the overall support needs for Service Delivery as an active member of the Global IT Team
  • Collaborate as a member of the Service Delivery Team to develop and align IT support processes globally to meet business needs
  • Understand and enforce the company’s infrastructure architecture standards and policies to maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility
  • Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Ensure all IT SOPs relating to BioServices and Fisher Clinical are followed to deliver an IT service in accordance with the regulations governing our business
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with a focus on customer service / relationship building
  • Application support experience with LIMS; configuration knowledge is a plus although training will be given
  • Experience with SDLC for regulated applications is a plus
  • ITIL version 3 Foundation qualification and experience of working in a Global / European IT services group leveraging the majority of the ITIL framework would be a plus
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of highly matrixed Global IT team
  • Educated to degree level is preferred, ideally Computer Science or Business Degree
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or PMI equivalent qualification
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills gained whilst engaging with junior through to senior business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience resolving technical and process issues through the involvement of senior client, partner and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in working with both internal and external IT resources to resolve service challenges and project initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in providing IT services to a Global or European end user support function with a track record of achieving year over year efficiency gains
  • Broad knowledge of application software and IT security required, including demonstrated experience in interpreting business needs and translating them into support services
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Prior experience with GMP and CSV, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus
  • Ability to quickly understand and adjust to changing business needs
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle
  • Experience of working in a highly matrixed environment, inclusive of conflict resolution
  • Ability to travel as required both domestically and globally (15%)
