Job Title: Scientist I, R&D
Location: San Diego, CA (until summer of 2017 then transition to Carlsbad, CA)
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Research & Development

The person will perform all aspects required to produce antibodies using Hybridoma cell lines including the following biology techniques:

Responsibilities:
The person will perform all aspects required to produce antibodies using Hybridoma cell lines including the following biology techniques:
- Tissue culture of hybridoma cells
- Thawing frozen live cells
- Freezing live cells
- Subcloning hybridoma cell lines
- Characterization of cell lines using different assays (ELISA…)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in life sciences (biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, cellular biology or immunology).
- 1 year of hands-on mammalian tissue culture experience.
- Sterile technique in a Biosafety cabinet.
- Highly dependable and demonstrating attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills both formal and informal.
- Knowledge of all office programs.
