Looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a team of scientists engaged in the development and commercialization of the products in the area of Cell Therapy. The ideal candidate would have experience directly relevant to immune- cell therapy. Objectives include identification and optimization of the isolation, culture & expansion of distinct immune relevant cell types. Working in a team environment candidate will design, execute and analyze experimental results with focus on product development and adherence to project timelines. Troubleshoot experiments; synthesize results and present data to project team and management. Identify and solve complex problems associated with key experimental and project goals. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve protocols, processes and approaches. Read literature directly associated with assigned project and maintain familiarity with state of the art approaches and competitive products. Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures. Successful candidate will have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and learn quickly. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in team environment are essential. Due to nature of projects, some weekend work will be required in order to maintain these cultures and experimental or project timelines.
Formal training and experience with culture of mammalian blood derived cell types is required
Experience in designing, developing and validating the cellular/immunology cell-based functional assays
Expertise in the isolation, differentiation and activation of immune-relevant cell types highly desirable. Effective communication/interpersonal skills
Use of standard cell and molecular biology techniques
Fluorescent and phase contrast microscopy and quantitative image analysis
Experience with Flow Cytometry and FACS
Experience with laboratory automation desirable
Experience in industry and or with product development desirable.
Able to design, execute, and analyze experiments with a low level of supervision required
Highly organized, ability to maintain well documented laboratory protocols and notebooks.
Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
PhD or +1-3 years postdoctoral experience.
Requires background in experimental immunology, strong preference given to candidates with demonstrable experience in industry and/or with strong publication record.
