Scope of Project(s):
A multitude of projects, however the three top opportunities are: 1. Grab Sampler pump Replacement- To review current product requirements, investigate and identify industry standard replacements. Determine best choice pump replacement, prototype new pump/circuit design, test and document changes, Create/update solidworks models and drawings. Update/create electrical drawings, Create technical note describing product testing. 2. Ross pH fast temperature response probe redesign- Working as part of a team to redesign a pH sensor for quicker temperature response. 3. Aquachlor flowcell redesign- Working as part of a team to redesign a flowcell that minimizes bubbles.
Goals:
Successfully redesign the grab sampler pump design with minimal impact to our customer base. Maintain the current mechanical components with minimal modification to the existing parts. Complete comprehensive model and drawing for remodel of both Ross pH fast temperature response probe and the Aquachlor flowcell.
Deliverables:
1. Grab Sampler pump Replacement Create and document electrical schematic for the new pump circuit. Prototype the new design and perform comparative testing of the product. Create a technical note outlining test requirements and final results. Create Models and drawings based off an existing design and input from other team members.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Solidworks modeling/drawing, familiarity with schematic creation software, basic technical writing, mechanical assembly aptitude, mechanical design, fluidic design, and imagination.
