Job Description

Role: Finance Manager
Global Chemicals Business Unit
To be based in Loughborough
Specific Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly analysis of costs of goods sold and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to mitigate risk.
- Business partner with Commercial, Product Management and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact due to costs reduction, new products. Prepare periodic forecasts for Revenue and costs.
- Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and measure against budget and forecast targets, working with Management team to improve and drive performance.
- Identify, investigate and analyse potential operation improvements. Works with VSM’s to complete RCA and implement Countermeasures.
- Assist in the completion of the Statutory Accounts and Tax Pack
- Maintain and test site Internal controls (SOX) ensuring compliance and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Assist in the long term financial planning
- Responsible for all aspects of Finance Team Management including training, development performance evaluations.
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Understand and follow the company policies and regulations

- Employers seek candidates who are calm, patient and assertive, with excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Relevant scientific or technical work experience (either paid or voluntary) can be beneficial.
- CIMA or equivalent qualified
- Demonstrable experience at a management level with experience of managing a team
- Excellent IT skills required including ERP systems, HFM, SAP, Microsoft
