Job Description Summary

The Finance Manager, Innovation Finance provides analytical support for investments and product portfolio decisions across Genetic Analysis business / GSD and is responsible for driving business decisions through effective analysis and communication with Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, and communicate recommendations regarding financial plans, new product introductions, acquisition activity, and operating forecasts to ensure optimal business decisions
  • Provide day-to-day support for respective functions and prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports including expense monitoring and month-end-close responsibilities
  • Develop and drive the annual operating plan
  • Support and partner with business development and portfolio teams
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience in a finance role with hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions
  • High level analytical capabilities with a record of successful financial modeling experience
  • Strong management and leadership skills and experience in owning and leading projects
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Advanced degree in accounting or finance or related work experience with in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial statements, MBA is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work with key members of the corporate executive team and the finance leadership team
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams
  • Proven record of successful individual and team process improvement actions
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to make assumptions, identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines
  • Willingness to dive into details to find answers and solve problems when needed
