The Division Sourcing Director is a high impact, highly visible position that serves as the functional leader for the Sourcing professionals throughout the Chemical Analysis Division. The Division Sourcing Director will support $200M in direct material spend for 13 sites across the globe, as well as manage a diverse supplier profile, which includes electronics, radioactive sources and heavy machined parts. This position is responsible for developing a Divisional Sourcing Strategy in alignment with the corporate initiatives, building a strong functional organization, establishing best practices, delivering on continuous improvement initiatives for the division, and ensuring an optimized supply base which is aligned with the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and drives site, business unit, division and global strategies including LCR sourcing, outsourcing, new product introduction, supplier selection and reduction
- Consolidates, analyzes and reports on division sourcing metrics for all business reviews
- Ensures divisional Sourcing commitments and metrics are met
- Drives functional excellence across the division including: skills development, identifying training needs, facilitating divisional Sourcing HRR’s and ensuring performance management
- Aligns Sourcing processes and personnel to support the business unit needs
- Acts as the key division interface with the corporate global sourcing team ensuring the alignment of strategies and the standardization of processes and commitments are implemented throughout the division
- Develops strategic relationships with key supply accounts, including negotiating contracts with significant spend
- Represents the division in Strategic Supplier reviews
- Cultivates and develops an action-biased culture of continuous improvement to the Global Sourcing program
- Develops a risk mitigation program
- Focuses on process improvement and standard work across the business network
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent experience;
Masters in Business preferred; C.P.M. or CPSM certification or equivalent preferred;
Minimum of 10 years purchasing/operations experience in a manufacturing environment - Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results
