European IP Counsel
We are seeking a European Patent Attorney to assist with the prosecution and management of a portfolio of International (PCT) and European applications and patents and to support our European R&D centres. Candidates must have a demonstrated expertise in drafting and prosecuting applications and Opposition proceedings and preferably experience of oral proceedings. German national Patentanwalt qualification would be helpful.
Good communications skills are required to facilitate interactions with both R&D staff and other members of the legal department. Research experience, preferably to at least PhD level, would be a distinct advantage. Technical background preferably chemistry, physics or engineering, and instrumentation. Other aspects of the position include input into licensing negotiations requiring commercial and financial awareness, and training of part-qualified IP colleagues and R&D staff.
Appointee will join an established in-house European IP team for a major international instrument and biotechnology company, preferably in Darmstadt, Germany.
