Thermo Fisher's Worldwide Operations organization is responsible for Component and System Manufacturing (Production), Product Engineering, Global Materials & Logistics, Global Sourcing & Supplier Management, and Document Control.


The Position
The Contract Support Team is part of back-office organization, providing professional service excellence in the areas of install base and service contract management to the Thermo Fisher field service management team and customers in the EMEAI region.
In more detail the service contract representative:
  • Maintains master data concerning install base and end-users
  • Drives the process of timely service contract renewal in close alignment with Field Service Managers
  • Prepares accurate pricing of service contract quotes based on actual price list, contract type and coverage and special customer discounts
  • Supports Sales account managers and Field Service Managers with POS (Point of Sales) service contract quoting
  • Accurately process quotes, customer purchase orders and requests, including price determination, accurate cost and revenue account reflection into the ERP (QAD) system
  • Creates install calls into the system (QAD) for new tools to be delivered and installed at customer site
  • Takes care of invoicing of the service contracts
  • Acts as customer liaison with Accounts Receivable to determine billing issues and find resolution
  • Participates in improvement initiatives and team building activities within contract support team and across functional areas of core integration
  • Maintains professionalism in working relationships with team, customers and others within the company. Role model for newer team members in how to communicate well in all situations.
  • Ensures all areas of personal responsibility are handles promptly, accurately, and with outstanding customer service.
The Requirements

The preferred candidate enjoys working in an admin job in a multi-cultural environment with frequent interaction with stakeholders in various countries and will possess the following combination of education, skills and experience:
  • Requires outstanding problem solving, follow-through, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Moderate excel, word, and ERP (preferably QAD) system skills.
  • Excellent typing, 10-key speed and accuracy rate.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy under pressure.
  • Critical soft skills include self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure, professionalism, written and oral communication skills, and strong team and customer orientation.
  • Consistently communicates with customers, peers, and other FEI employees in a helpful, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Typically requires a bachelor degree and 2-8 years of experience in a service contract management.
  • Fluent in English and one of the following languages: German or Spanish
  • Legal background (interpreting terms and conditions in contracts and tender documents) is an advantage.
