The Clinical Microarray Technical Sales Specialist will work to develop and increase the install base of the Clinical Microarray portfolio and related technologies within the UK territory of the North Europe District. You will work with local GA Solutions Representatives and UK District Manner in a collaborative manner, adding strategic overview and technical input to commercial discussions and territory planning. Reporting directly to the North Europe Sales Director, you will also work with the other TSS-CMAs to produce wider Northern Region and EMEA-level strategy input to the product range
.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the District Clinical Microarray sales and associated assigned product portfolio (Instruments and associated Consumables) in a manner that positively reflects the Company image.
  • Achieve sales targets, both quarterly and annually.
  • Provide the company with relevant market information for the development of strategies on products. Impact directly upon the sales of products now and the future.
  • Ensures that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to close sales · Maintain and develop customer relationship on the short and long term.
  • Focus on the strategic development of key accounts by implementing and updating Account and Territory Plans (cross-functions).
  • Gather, analyse and deliver information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market including forecasting and lost order reporting and competitive information.
  • Provide direct information on client needs to market and design together account specific promotion, seminars and exhibitions to support strategic goals on a tactical basis.
  • Participate actively in local networks of service, support, customer services, marketing and finance to maximize area performance.
  • Update and maintain the CRM (Siebel) tool to ensure full transparency of customer information across the organisation.
  • Work closely with Core Sales counterparts, Technical Sales Counterparts and District Manager to drive incremental business.

People Specification:
  • Degree(minimum) qualification in an appropriate science subject, molecular biology preferred
  • Clear understanding of the academic and clinical markets (particularly the NHS), together with a proven track record of working with technology-based products in those markets
  • Good market intelligence with respect to competitive products and vendors
  • Ability to sell in a consultative manner such that customer need is discovered and addressed in an individualized clinical and data driven manner
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
  • Medical background/sales experience, laboratory experience, and/or managed care knowledge desirable.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value for money exercise
  • Computer literacy, especially with regard to modern scientific user interfaces, document and presentation preparation and report writing
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
