Thermo Fisher Scientific’ Material and Structural Analysis Division is uniquely positioned with an industry-leading portfolio of electrical fault characterization and physical analysis solutions designed to meet the market needs of smaller geometries and rapidly growing sample volumes4. The Senior Product Marketing Manager owns a product line portfolio within the semiconductor business unit. They own the business plans, marketing strategy, strategic plans and product roadmaps for their portfolio. The PMM must manage forecasts for their product line and manage the tactical sales support required to meet these forecasts. The PMM must also maintain a strong understanding of key customer technical requirements by using tools such as “voice of the customer” and translating that input into future product requirements and roadmaps.

This position identifies, evaluates, and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with BU objectives. Responsibilities and deliverables that the PMM will be responsible for will include:
  • Manage inbound marketing activities, including understanding customer needs for specific segments and defining roadmaps which deliver the best customer value.
  • Understanding key semiconductor technology trends and manufacturing processes and disseminating this information within the marketing team and engineering.
  • Driving the implementation of product development roadmaps with the engineering and applications groups in FEI and taking responsibility for delivering the promised delivery schedule and value of new products to key customers.
  • Providing feedback to R&D teams and others within the organization from existing customers and prospects to assist in the definition of new applications, configurations or product and workflow enhancements in our target markets.
  • Manage the product line revenue and financial metrics, including coordinating forecasts, build plans and pricing plans.
  • Provide sales support to Thermo Fisher worldwide account team. This support includes responding to technical questions, creating sales support collateral which in turn may include brochures, applications notes, product data sheets, competitive matrices, and technical presentations.
  • Develop and present training programs to the sales force to inform them of new products, enhancements, or competitive issues..

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, advanced degree preferred
  • Typically requires 10 years experience in a relevant technical environment
  • Experience with TEMs, SEMs, FIBs or similar systems
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device and/or processes
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment marketing best practices.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills with a diverse audience is critical to the success of this position
  • Ability to travel both domestically as well as internationally and possession of a valid passport
