Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide sales operations support and revenue analytics for the BioProduction Division, responsible for direct support of the North America Commercial sales team, with global oversight and direction of key annual activities. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Commercial, and will be located in Carlsbad, California.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement proactive sales analytics to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue
  • Analyze key performance indicators for the sales organization and provide actionable recommendations to solve areas of concern
  • Support the Global Core Customer team for the division, including macro level forecast discussions, management of financial slides for customer business reviews and contract pricing analysis
  • Drive annual North America territory alignment, compensation design and target setting, while providing direction and oversight of global processes
  • Maintain territory integrity and coordinate target recasts as needed
  • Manage incentive compensation for the North America sales team, including calculation of quarterly payouts, accruals and recommendations for requested adjustments
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and compile data for various performance metrics

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or other business related disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Sales support experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Systems experience: SFDC, CMR, COGNOS, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, E1
  • Territory alignment, compensation planning/calculation, and sales quota setting experience a plus
