Job Title: QC Technician

As part of the Quality department, a QC Lab Technician 1 is part of the team to deliver organizational and production results in line with the site strategy (strategic A3) and goals, together with specific objectives for the team including:
Adherence to planned production schedule
Training and Development
Preparation of media and cultures required for Quality Control testing of Sensititre Susceptibility and Identification products.
To undertake testing and inspection of raw materials, intermediates and finished products (testing of Sensititre susceptibility and identification products) in compliance with QC specifications and in accordance to lead times/customer requirements.
Ensure appropriate approvals and adherence of manufacturing processes and associated documentation; to include, but not limited to, Batch sign off, UD’s, SAP Inspection Plans or other QC related documentation/data.
Ensure quality documentation is adequately maintained (SOP’s and QC worksheets)
Maintenance of department equipment including liaison between the Engineering team and external contractors
Completing Out of specification/non conformity report and Concessions in the relevant systems in a timely manner
Ensure general lab housekeeping duties maintained (calibration of equipment/instruments, maintain lab stock, maintain cultures for lab use etc.)
Participate in the continuous improvement programme (PPI)
Follow and to comply with established H&S policy
Any other duties/projects as are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post-holder.
• Competent in the use of the MS Office suite
• High attention to detail
• Ability to communicate openly
• Work flexibly to ensure deadlines are met
• A-level in science or relevant laboratory experience
• Experience in cGMP or GMP environment
• Knowledge of clean room practices
• Usage of SAP or related system
