Job Description
Position Summary:
The Master Data Planner is responsible for demand and production planning, determines material requirements and maintains inventory at planned levels. Owns and understands the comprehensive tactical functions of master data set up, data parameter maintenance, forecasting and KPI reporting. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises good judgment within generally defined practices and policies when selecting methods for acquiring solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
• Plans procurement of finished goods and raw materials from approved manufacturers,
OEMs and Suppliers
• Creating the AOP with an overview of Shippings, Production quantities and Stocklevel
• Participates in every aspect of planning related meetings e.g. Life Cycle, New Product Introduction
• Host of the Planning Meeting involving Operations, Finance and Marketing
• Participates and contributes to monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory & Operations Planning) process
• Completes special projects and assignments as requested
• Contact for Order Management and Procurement regarding demand figures
• Development of proposals to improve robustness of internal and global supply chains
• Implementation of standard controls and analytics for Master Planning
• Maintains, monitors Master Data for Planning; revises essential system planning data to ensure ERP system is effectively planning future requirements
• Responsible for the supplier forecast
Production Planning
• Executes the weekly Production planning
• Master Planning of manufacturing activities
• Global Inventory Management: DOS reporting and analytics, inventory parameters, Product Life Cycle management; measure related KPI’s
• Production slot planning
Inventory Planning
• Coordinates inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, components, and finished goods
• Checks excess and obsolescence requests from other regions
• SPOC for spare parts Distribution Centers and regional Warehouses
• Ensures product mix alignment with commercial; highlights deviations, opportunities and risks
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, with studies in Business, Operations, Supply Chain with a minimum of 5 years of
Materials and production planning experience preferred or a minimum of 7 years equivalent
experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel with advanced data analytics experience.
• ERP experience a must, SAP and Navision a plus.
• Experience working in Lean Environment and applies lean principles
• Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
• Selfstarter
• Fluent in German and English
• Up to 15% Travel
• Strong continuous improvement mindset
