Job title: Senior Manager EMEA Strategic Accounts
Location: Anywhere in Europe


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EMEA Strategic Accounts organization, incorporating Laboratory Products Division (LPD), BioSciences Division (BID), BioProduction Division (BPD), Genetic Sciences (GSD), Clinical NGS (CSD) and Laboratory Chemicals Products (LCP) with all LSG products, services and solutions addressing the needs of customers in the Industrial, Biopharma and Academic markets.
  • Develop the EMEA Strategic Accounts strategy and commercial approach, in conjunction with the LSG Global Strategic Accounts priorities and goals
  • In alignment with the Global Strategic Accounts strategy, lead the team in EMEA to leverage all new commercial opportunities, by promoting a culture of cross business and cross division and functional synergies
  • Lead Thermo Fisher towards improved customer solutions to achieve accelerated sales results by developing and implementing commercial processes that ensure consistent, timely and successful execution of the sales team’s strategies and objectives
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and new clients and pro-actively seek out incremental opportunities to expand the total business base for the LSG products, within selected accounts
  • Be accountable for commercial negotiations with Strategic Accounts at a senior level
  • Acquire and develop experienced commercial talents through individual and collective coaching to leverage diversity, develop influencing capabilities and share best practices to achieve superior individual and collective performance. This pool of top talents will contribute to strengthen the bench of Thermo Fisher and be prepared to face the future commercial challenges
  • Lead by example in building harmonious and productive collaboration with senior leaders across all functions with a special focus on Regional Sales, Global Strategic Accounts, Commercial Marketing, Product & Applications Specialists, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree or alternatively demonstrable track record/experience
  • Inspirational leadership style, combining visionary aptitudes and collaboration skills to lead effectively by influence
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in leading business development and self-directed teams in the laboratory and/or medical and life science related field
  • Robust track record in achieving superior commercial performance in terms of revenue, growth, Customer Allegiance and Talent Development
  • Broad knowledge of key stakeholders in the Life Science, Industrial and Medical Device or Health Care domains
  • Experience in reviewing and assimilating complex and diverse information and customer issues and in recommending appropriate decisions
  • Strong collaborative approach in a matrix and global organizational structure, with demonstrable credibility among business development, commercial and marketing, manufacturing operations and supply chain and other internal business partners including Finance, Legal, and Human Resources
  • Excellent in oral and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in English oral and written
  • Spend c. 50-60% of time travelling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional European languages skills a plus (German, French, Dutch or Spanish)
  • MBA or equivalent degree
