  • Manage VMware infrastructure including installation, configuration and administration.
  • Manage all backup jobs using NetBackup and Quantum i80 Vault.
  • Perform software installations and upgrades to Windows operating systems and virtualization platform like VMware.
  • Manage Windows 2003/2008 R2-2012 R2 server installation and administration
  • Monitor and tune the systems to achieve optimum level of performance.
  • Perform monthly patching of Windows servers and VMWare hosts
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10 imaging and support
  • This position requires 24 x 7 support for production systems, backup infrastructure and performance of backup and recovery activities
  • Respond to and resolve first tier help desk requests for application support; desktop hardware and software issues, and server maintenance
  • Work with project managers and business owners to determine business requirements for new system capabilities and take responsibility for service delivery aligned with requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software
  • Assist with development and maintenance of network documentation. (Network Diagrams, Maps, Statistics, etc.)
  • Comply with company‚Äôs Global IT Policies & Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
  • Backup technology experience with a clear understanding of snapshots, data & systems recovery technologies.
  • Ethernet, Wireless, and TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting
  • Understanding / experience with SQL. Troubleshoot SQL cluster related issue.
  • Advanced knowledge of NAS best practices for current VMware, and Windows operation systems, Files systems,
  • Demonstrate a desire and proven action in learning new technologies. Stay current on existing ones, pursuing experience and certifications in leading edge or primary technology areas.
  • Excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks in dynamic and high pressure situations, prioritize them accordingly and react quickly to issues.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Basic experience in managing engineering systems such as PDM, PLM, CAD or SW development tools
  • certifications on MS (MCSA/MCSE) or VMWare (VCA/VCP) technology
  • Self-reliance and proactive work style
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Prefer 5+ years in system administration experience
  • Solid technical skills on Microsoft client, server, VMware and NetBackup technologies
  • Willingness to travel to other site as a backup when needed
