Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage core areas of the SEA sales team to achieve the approved Annual Operating Plans for revenue, market share and operating profit goals while ensuring all statutory requirements are met
  • Develops and implements strategic and operational sales plans for the territory
  • Develops and implements innovative distribution opportunities and improvements for the territory
  • Oversee distributor relationships throughout the assigned territory.
  • Work with our distribution partners to develop cohesive tactical and strategic sales plans in order to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Work with Senior Management to evaluate sales channel efficiency throughout the region on an ongoing basis and make changes where appropriate
  • Responsible for New Business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing
  • Oversee new distributor onboarding as well as ongoing training for existing partners
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities to management team through our CRM and other means
  • Lead & conduct sales calls, seminars, workshops, and presentations for current and potential customers throughout the region in partnership with our distributors
  • Work actively with Technical Support and Field Applications to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage, motivate and develop a team of sales professionals into high performing Sales leaders
  • Analyses the sales activities, sales projects and key performance indicators of the territory and takes appropriate actions to steer the business to plan and beyond
  • Identify actions to improve sales productivity for SEA sales team
  • Recommends and implements tactical plans and programs for the achievement of sales goals
  • Liaises with business development and marketing staff to ensure maximum market segment penetration within the region

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related science and may have an advanced degree, certification or additional professional training
  • Typically requires 10 to 12 years of relevant experience. Preferably in Laboratory Instruments, Consumables or related industry in South East Asia region.
  • Strong exposure to overall business dynamics across South East Asia with strong agility to manage the relationship across teams and functions
  • Channel management experience essential
  • Excellence influencing skills to influence people in matrix organizations environment
  • Experienced in managing the sales budgeting process
  • Capital equipment sales experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the sales process (lead generation, quoting, purchasing, revenue recognition) as well as highly competent in forecast management
  • Must have possesses a working knowledge of the Southeast Asia market
  • Ability to travel up to 70% as needed
  • Requires excellent communication skills, verbal, and written
