Job Title: Workshop Service Engineer

Reports To: Service Operations Manager Germany

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities: (or Key Duties and Responsibilities)

Incoming goods

  • Perform initial assessment of instruments/spare parts returned to workshop
  • Ensure that instruments returned to workshop are correctly booked into the ERP system

Workshop service (demo-Instruments, Service loaners, customer instruments)

  • Move instruments from warehouse to workshop
  • Provide data required for cost estimate for depot repair
  • Maintenance, configuration and repair of equipment (APD)
  • Complete workshop technical service documentation
  • Prepare instruments/spare parts for shipping following workshop intervention
  • Move instruments/spare parts to warehouse for shipping following workshop intervention
  • Ensure high quality standard within the service organization

Database and workshop maintenance

  • Constantly maintain the instrument and spare parts pool management database to current status
  • Constantly maintain workshop to ā€œ5 Sā€ standards

Tool kits for FSE

  • Create / refurbish kits of tools for sales offices

Field Service calls

  • Technical and organizational preparation of service calls
  • Installation, maintenance, configuration and repair of equipment (APD)
  • Instruction of customers in the application and maintenance of the systems
  • Sales of Service contract and close cooperation with sales reps to follow up on aged instruments

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Medical technician (or comparable)
  • Knowledge in electronics and mechanics, as well as a strong interest in analytical systems
  • Effective, self-organized and cost-oriented
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good English and German language skills
  • Good hardware and software knowledge, especially of the Windows operating systems and applications as well as the Microsoft Office package
  • willingness to travel within Europe if required
  • Driving licence
