In Finland we have over 700 employees in Vantaa and Joensuu. Our extensive range of products developed and manufactured in Finland includes pipettes, microplate instruments, magnetic particle processing systems as well as clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers and laboratory automation solutions. The Vantaa facility houses several different functions such as R&D, marketing, sales, service, logistics, quality as well as instrument and reagent manufacturing and is located close to the Vantaankoski railway station.

Vantaa, Finland

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our driven Sourcing and Purchasing team in Vantaa. Your main tasks will be to purchase material for our instrument manufacturing as well as for new development projects. In your role you will also interact with our customer service, finance and warehouse. This position is a temporary position until August 31, 2018.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for operational purchasing tasks to ensure continuous material flow within inventory targets
  • Daily supplier management, including development to improve quality and total cost of purchased materials
  • Participate in production transfer and NPD projects
We believe you have the following qualifications, experience, qualities:
  • Degree in Economics, Logistics or similar preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of purchasing experience in mechanical and/or electric/electronics manufacturing industry and/or sub-contractors.
  • Working experience in NPD and production transfer projects
  • Working experience in working with international suppliers
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English
  • Experience in using MS office programs as well as ERP systems (SAP experience is a benefit)
  • Capable of independent decision making and flexibility even under high pressure situation
  • Good team working skills
