The Mission
The Senior Technical Project/Program Engineer is a member of the Electronics’ Business Development organization, which is responsible for business development, new product roll-out and field applications activities at key customer sites.
The Senior Technical Project/Program Engineer will be located on-site in the field and be a key member of the local account organization at key strategic customer sites.
The Position
The Senior Technical Project/Program Engineer is responsible for managing regional projects, related to MSD’s NearLine Solutions strategy at key strategic customers’ sites.
Define, together with the local sales, service and applications teams, the key requirements for successful installation, qualification, release and continuous improvement of NearLine Solutions.
Manage projects involving multiple departments and cross-functional teams focused on improvements related to the install base.
Plan and direct resource schedules related to on-going projects.
Monitor and manage all aspects of the programs and projects from initiation through continuous improvement at the customer site.
Report progress and ensure programs are successful within scope, budget and schedule.
Provide regular status updates to the customer, Sales and Electronic Business
Unit.
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements from the customer.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Meets regularly with the customer, stake holders and across functional teams to review project status, areas of improvement and plans moving forward.
The Requirements
Minimum BS degree from an accredited College/University in a related technical field such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science.
5-7 years of semiconductor experience with management experience preferred.
Experience with multi-disciplinary and multicultural project management.
Good skills in persuading, inspiring, developing, and motivating are required.
Experience working on programs with diverse objectives and problems requiring thorough analysis of the situation and supporting data.
Requires good judgment and lateral thinking to develop solutions to problems.
Able to effectively communicate with and managing the deliverables of cross functional and cross cultural teams to complete projects Team player
Demonstrated successful project management experience, preferable with certified skills.
Previous experience in similar industries and markets that MSD serves is preferred.
