Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for early talent recruitment and university relations
  • Contributes to building and executing a solid foundation for university recruiting and relations
  • Develops creative ways to identify top talent from leading universities
  • Assists in activating employer brand strategy to include a strong social media presence
  • Engages with on campus staff to develop brand of Thermo Fisher Scientific at target universities
  • Participates in projects as needed to continue to build the UR function. Examples include: compensation and salary reviews, digital employment branding initiatives and enhancing social media strategies
  • Partners with hiring managers and talent management leaders to lead the recruitment process for our flagship leadership development programs and internship positions though:
    • Building trust and credibility with geographically dispersed clients through effective consultation at all stages of the recruiting process
    • Proactively consulting with Managers and HR Business Partners on hiring needs and priorities to deliver timely and appropriate early talent acquisition strategies
    • Understanding current/future hiring needs and assessing the labor market trends and issues in the marketplace to develop and recommend the right recruiting strategies for the business
    • Utilizing creative sourcing techniques and branding strategies to attract and cultivate diverse talent pipelines
    • Driving exceptional candidate experience through every touch point in the recruiting process and ultimately closing top candidates
    • Ensuring consistent process management that balances compliance, business need and optimal candidate experience

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related program; or 4 or more years equivalent experience working in a talent acquisition role as a full-cycle recruiter
  • Two or more years of early talent recruiting experience for diverse positions
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, and time management skills to influence others and achieve results
  • Demonstrated success working independently and negotiating through differing opinions and options
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and time management skills, the ability to work independently, and negotiation skills are required
  • 25% travel
