Aid in the testing of FISH oligos using imaging techniques for NPI projects.
Design and execute experiments to test product specifications, product requirements, and product applications.
Specific tasks would include FISH protocol optimization, fluorescent staining on multiple cell types, running multiple cell types on imaging platforms, and data analysis of imaging results.
Support team initiatives by aiding in general tasks in lab, including ordering material, cleaning common use areas, making common use buffers and reagents, and autoclaving waste.
Education- Minimum B.S. in BioChem/CellBiology/Mol Biology - preferred candidates in a post graduate program to obtain Ph.D
Knowledge in Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization technique and procedures.
Fluorescence knowledge in imaging.
Able to work independently.
Able to communicate scientific knowledge of project to cross-functional team in both written and oral formats.
Experience presenting project data to larger audience.
Experience with Excel, Prism, and imaging platforms.
Cell culture experience with common imaging and flow cell models.
