The IT Infrastructure Supervisor manages a group with responsibility for managing IT infrastructure operations. S/he provides leadership for this function supporting all aspects of the Transplant Diagnostics business.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Infrastructure management, procurement and operations, including application and data servers, networks, network based equipment, routers, switches, telecom equipment and systems, encompassing hardware, operating system software, and firmware as well as network security, data security, data backup and restoration operations, multi-site desktop user support including providing/coordinating help desk/service desk services by leveraging Corporate IT service desk resources.
Align IT infrastructure operational processes globally to meet divisional and corporate IT mandates and standards, business needs, applicable regulatory requirements, agreed upon service levels, as well as IT-driven initiatives and projects.
Implement metrics to demonstrate compliance with agreed service levels.
Establish operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignments.
Monitor systems for uninterrupted IT service Lead implementation of a Disaster Recovery Plan and support Business Continuity Plan.
Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects and initiatives as directed by IT management.
Identify infrastructure needs based on commercial contracts and establish work plans to meet contractual obligations.
Utilize effective project management practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of IT infrastructure services.
Understand and enforces company’s infrastructure architecture standards and policies to maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.
Select, develop and evaluate employees to improve operational efficiency.
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and resources effectively.
Establish and adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures.
Provide site leadership to the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems.
Monitor, manage and mitigate data risk.
Demonstrate and drive high levels of accountability throughout the IT Service Delivery team and operations.
Perform other duties as assigned
<25% travel may be needed
Windows, Unix/Linux, including end-of-life aspects that are past vendor support.
Proven experience identifying, managing and mitigating data security risk in a multi-site environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills
