Job Description
DUTIES:
Build, test and align mechanical, fluidic and optomechanical assemblies.
Calibrate prototypes biotechnical instruments and design fixtures for mechanical assembly.
Develop assembly and test processes, including computer programmed scripts.
Troubleshoot issues found in the manufacturing floor and provide feedback to engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Translational Medicine, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study plus 1 year of software development, systems engineering, information technology or related experience. Employer also accepts a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience as an equivalent alternative.
Must have experience or knowledge of:
Bill of Materials;
CAD, such as Solidworks;
Assembly development and test procedures;
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing;
Metrology;
Python and SCPI programming; and
Operating drill press, milling machine and 3D printer.
