Job Description

The Customer Service Specialist – Quotations is responsible for preparing competitive one off and annual quotes, using company standard discount terms as a minimum alongside provided discount guidelines, as well as investigating price support and presenting a business case to our suppliers to maintain the highest possible margin. You will be required to liaise with Field Sales where appropriate to understand customer requirements regarding pricing, turnaround times and the potential of the account. Committed to developing a high level of product knowledge, you will ensure we are working to the customer’s expectations and deadlines as you respond to all types of customer service issues, orders and general enquiries, identifying required products and optional extras.

The role requires a high and efficient level of customer service, as you are responsible for taking ownership of customer issues, working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide solutions. You will be empowered to resolve complex or difficult customer queries, seeking support and clarification where appropriate and to make decisions, working collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to deliver customer centric solutions. A customer advocate, you will support their needs and ensure
their views and concerns are captured, resolved and escalated, striving to continuously improve the processes and service delivery using defined company methodology.

You will have a professional approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, build and develop mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external colleagues/customers and maintain a positive attitude when problems arise, taking ownership for making positive change.

Essential:
  • Track record of being able to multi-task and work in a flexible environment
  • Strong GSCE (or equivalent) results including Maths and English
Desirable:
  • A-levels/degree or equivalent in a related subject
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodology
  • Ability to speak one additional language, for a country managed from your location, to a professional standard.
