Unity Lab Services a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring for one full time Site Specialist, 40 hours per week at Novo Nordisk. The position will work onsite with the customer and must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Daily duties include:
Follow all SOP/SOW and Work Instructions and update as necessary.
Scientific Support- equipment cleaning and maintenance work in the open lab and TCC lab.
Lab bench area cleaning.
FACS buffer solutions.
Plasmid prep activities
Liquid and solid waste removal.
Material management of customer owned material to include:
Manage POU's daily to meet min/max and reorder points.
Set up and label shelves as necessary
Material Inventory support such as restocking shelves and performing cycle counts
De-trash and stock put away
Maintain daily services of glass washing and use of autoclave
Pick up of dirty glassware at designated locations.
Delivery of clean glassware to designated locations.
Maintain soap inventory.
Broken glass box setup and removal.
Maintain and update monthly metrics.
• Must possess a High School Diploma and preferably an Associate’s degree at minimum.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively
• 0 to 3 years of progressive relevant experience preferred.
• Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher.
• Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values.
• Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred
• Proven excellence in customer service skills.
• Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment.
• Computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Must be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
• May be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
• Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, hairnets and/or safety gloves .
• Some areas require steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses.
• Must be able to work hours required to get the job done.
