This role is part of the Corporate Information Security (CIS) Security Training and Awareness Program team that is tasked with developing and executing programs, events, and training courses designed to increase the overall level of security knowledge and awareness within the company. The position will be responsible for assisting with the overall program strategy, identifying and developing training methods across a variety of knowledge areas, implementing unique ideas to attract audiences, and presenting this program to all levels within the company.
Assist in the development of the global training and awareness program with a focus on unique and engaging programs.
Drive a partnership global support teams to drive on-site employee awareness
Develop and manage content for the internal CIS sharepoint site to catalogue all training modules, links to training, videos, and more so that they can be easily found and shared
Execute the annual program by planning, organizing, and coordinating training and awareness events globally
Coordinate with Human Resources to integrate security training with various processes such as employee onboarding, annual ethics and awareness training, and other HR led efforts.
Manage the relationship with the Corporate LMS team and ensure there is a good mechanism in place to make required courses mandatory for the appropriate individuals and teams
Work with HR to gain metrics on training completion within the corporate LMS system
Manage and report on the training efforts and certificates gained by staff from various functional domains so that CIS can report on security posture across the company
Design and implement a rewards and recognition program to recognize good behavior
Author and review a variety communications to increase employee understanding of policies, practices, and procedures related to security.
Utilize SharePoint, Yammer, and other internal communication tools for continual and impactful outreach with the Thermo Fisher Scientific community
Determine effectiveness of training programs by identifying key performance metrics and performing analysis
Assist with identifying, evaluating, and managing vendors that will supply custom training curriculum
5+ years’ experience in security training and awareness, project/program management, instruction development/design, corporate learning management, or other applicable experience
Knowledge of Phishing Simulation tools is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Learning Development
Experiencing developing training programs for a wide variety of clients
Ability to develop metrics and provide analysis to measure effectiveness of programs
Excellent writing skills, with experience as a writer, technical editor, or communications specialist a plus
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and excellent documentation skills are a must
Excellent customer service skills required
