With the growing use of 3D computed tomography applied to Industrial Inspection, 3D data visualization and analysis software solutions are becoming more and more important in the fields of material and life sciences, nondestructive testing & defect analysis.
To support our fast growth in this exciting market, Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a talented Sales Account Manager Western Europe in our Bordeaux office (home office also possible).

As a Sales Account Manager, you will develop and implement effective strategies to maximize the business potential of assigned accounts and achieve business objectives and personal goals. You will be in charge of managing and develop business opportunities for the Avizo product lines in the fields of Industrial Inspection and Material sciences markets for commercial organizations. You will have to analyze major opportunities, prepare and implement sales strategies and account management plans.
With the release of a new software product dedicated to industrial inspection, you will be required to actively participate in the launch strategy and implement a plan to maximize product release.
The duties also include preparing quotes, collecting orders but also influencing co-workers and management with the allocation of the right resources needed to achieve the agreed upon sales tactics and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize sales activities on the assigned territory in order to achieve global revenue.
  • Actively participate in the preparation and the implementation of a sales plan around the release of a new product related to Industrial Inspection.
  • Perform ongoing active prospection through direct sales activities including prospecting, cold calling, participation to conferences and professional events, use of existing research database and own network.
  • Develop new business through maintaining a database of targeted organizations and ensuring that clear action items are always ongoing on these.
  • Find new business opportunities within existing clients through regular communication and face to face visits.
  • Develop an account planning strategy for key targeted organizations.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations through WebEx and direct visits; conduct consultative meetings with customers; and ensure that technical and service requirements are met.
  • Identifies/recommend strategic sales direction. Stay current with competition and other potential solution offerings.
  • Regularly report on closed and expected business and deliver weekly consistent forecasts to management.


Territories:
  • Western Europe: United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Turkey. Territories allocation may be subject to modifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 3 or more years successful sales experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in related industry
  • Excellent communication skills (listening and speaking)
  • Organized and focused. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, and be able to prioritize initiatives
  • Experience in interacting and selling commercial software (Avizo, VG Studio, GOM Inspect, Scan IP – Simpleware, ImageJ...) and/or solutions to engineering and industrial organizations particularly in the fields of Aerospace, Automotive and other manufacturing industries.
  • Established contacts in any or all of the following fields of 3D X-ray: industrial 3D CT inspection, industrial 3D CT metrology, 3D CT systems, 3D CT scanning services, quality compliance, 3D measurement and analysis, 3D Software solutions…
  • Experience in selling to C-level executives and upper management within small and large organizations. Ability to implement a sales strategy and selling methodology (Miller Heiman or similar)
  • Successful track record of new account development and large account management
  • Languages: English, French fluent


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates with international experience and multilingual fluency will receive priority consideration.
  • General knowledge of computer sciences & 3D data analysis and visualization
