The Rework/Test Technician will focus on completing rework/repair and electrical testing on assemblies with SMT technology and fine pitch components. The Rework/Test Technician will also be responsible for incorporating ECO changes from rework instructions, inspect assembles for solder or component issues and running electronic tests on repaired product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies.
Repair/rework engineering prototype circuit boards and cable assemblies.
Inspect product for revision status and implement ECOs per documentation.
Run Tests as prescribed for development circuits and repaired product.
Assembly and disassembly of chassis.
Test electronic circuits with multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Document test results and rework updates electronically.
Miscellaneous assembly of cables or test fixtures as required.
Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Ability to move around facility to meet with employees.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
5-10 year's related experience in electronic PCB testing, board assembly and ECO rework.
Exceptional soldering and wire add skills. Ability to use hot air equipment for multi-lead device repairs.
Experience in performing prototype assembly by hand and installing Engineering changes from schematics and/or written detailed instructions.
High school graduate. Technical school graduate preferred.
The ability to read and interpret schematics preferred.
Computer proficiency preferred.
Current IPC-610E (inspection) and J-Std (soldering) certification preferred.
