Position Summary:
Balance supply and demand and achieve target levels of service at the lowest cost by positioning inventory effectively
Develop accurate demand forecasts based on sales input, market analysis, and statistical modeling
Develop weekly production schedules in line with process capacity and overall demand requirements.
Participates in system upgrades, enhancements, and implementation for the supply chain planning organization
Coordinate Supply and Demand planning for multiple sites within the division
Key Responsibilities:
Forecasting and Demand Planning:
Develop a global demand plan through a combination of sales feedback, market analysis, and statistical modeling
Determine the impact of various sales and marketing plans, such as new product introductions, product withdrawal or obsolescence, promotions and incentives, and modify the demand plan accordingly
Produce demand forecasts by SKU by point of distribution
Key Account Planning support & advocate
Ensure coordination with finance to evaluate the revenue forecast and validate against the divisional strategy.
Planning and Inventory Systems and Data Control:
Oversee the development, accuracy, and routine maintenance of all demand planning data within the ERP system or equivalent including forecast, inventory and DRP
Sets high level Master Production Schedule; coordinates with Internal Stakeholders on production priorities in a constraint-impacted environment
Initiates / proactively supports Operations Management to improve productivity, capacity utilization, resource planning, as part of continuous review of work-center Manufacturing strategy
Participates in long term capacity assessments

Supply and Demand Management:
Lead the monthly S&OP discussions by comparing the forecasted demand to actual demand to achieve targets levels of service at the lowest possible cost
Monitor finished goods inventory levels within applicable geographies to ensure customer satisfaction and enable a quick and flexible response to unexpected changes in either supply or demand
Reconcile all supply, demand, and new product plans to both the detail and aggregate levels and tie to the business plan
Identify and communicate capacity constraints by acting as liaison between sales, customer service, and plant production
Review performance measures to drive continuous process improvement
Determine the best way to handle volatility and risk in the supply chain, such as the impact of deviations from forecast demand, impact of changes in lead times, etc.
Develop and coordinate plant schedules in line with projected customer demand and established lead times for ATO and MTO products
Develop alternative solutions to proactively identify and manage excessive demand (e.g., steer demand to available supply or work with Sales to prioritize demand by customer or product in case of allocation issues)
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree
Five years of progressively responsible materials management experience in the manufacturing, BioTech or Pharmaceutical industries or equivalent industry experience preferred
Direct work experience with inventory / planning / order management / ERP system experience: SAP systems is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Understanding of budget/cost control techniques
Strong analytical skills and MS Excel, Access and Word proficiency

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years Planning experience
