Position Summary:
Responsible for sales and related support activities for Thermo Fisher Scientific eBioscience Systems to specified academic, government or industrial accounts within an assigned territory

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully achieve sales and profit goals within expense budget plan by proactively calling on existing and potential new customers via field visits and by telephone
  • Generate and qualify sales leads by building a strong pipeline in the life science research community; focused technologies include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Multiplexing assays
  • Generate timely and accurate forecast reports
  • Dilligently maintain client information in CRM
  • Ability to work independently within a complex selling environment
  • Builds and manages accounts in assigned territory (Greater Los Angeles, Colorado & New Mexico)
  • Identify and mitigate all competitive barriers
  • Gather, process, and disseminate competitive intelligence and market feedback
  • Provide after sales technical support and customer service
  • Coordinates and/or conducts both technical and promotional seminars
  • Initiates and coordinates action plans to penetrate new markets
  • Participates in process and operation improvement opportunities
  • Work from remote home office
  • Travel up to 45% (local, interstate and overnight)
  • Complies with company quality management systems, policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSc in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field.
  • 2 -3 years sales experience in Life Sciences environment
  • Research experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Human Biology or a related field
  • Documented sales experience with large portfolio 10K+ sku’s
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient organizational skills, particularly the ability to manage multiple business opportunities simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in the life sciences
  • 3+ years of experience selling in a Life Science environment
