Job Description
Position Summary

The role will facilitate the development and rollout of Leadership-level PPI Business System tools and mechanisms to influence and equip senior leaders with leading from a continuous improvement perspective. The includes establishing the next generation of Strategy Deployment tools, executive-level gemba walks and senior KPI reviews and problem solving. It also involves coaching/supporting business and functional leaders to adopting PPI and generating business impact. Part of this includes coordination of the Leadership Institute model to help group/divisional/functional teams apply PPI within their businesses to meet their long and short-term goals and objectives. Facilitation of strategy deployment, bowler reviews and A3 thinking, are critical aspects of this higher-level PPI role. It also involves coaching/training/facilitating teams at all levels of the organization from executives to associates in PPI Business System elements including Value Stream Management, Lean Leadership and Management Systems, visual management, problem solving and a range of other lean tools.



Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evolve further the PPI Business System, including enhancing existing elements, establishing new tools and processes, etc.
  • Development of senior leaders, PPI professionals and the general population relative to the PPI Business System.
  • Create, enhance, and optimize all Learning and Development tools and processes as it relates to the PPI Business System.
  • Work with the expanded team to develop/promote/standardize the PPI Business System further.



Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, science, operations or business, advanced degree a plus
  • Advanced lean practitioner with 7+ years experience with PPI Business System. Or comparable prior experience working in the Toyota Production System (TPS), Danaher Business System (DBS), Honeywell Operating System (HOS) or other recognized Lean business system models.
  • Solid executive presence and business acumen to connect and influence senior teams
  • A ‘hands-on’ track record of implementing and developing teams in CI elements such as:
    • Lean Leadership (Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks)
    • Strategy Deployment and Value-stream mapping
    • Kaizen events including elements such as standard work, cell design, process and product 3P, Value-Analysis/Value Engineering, error-proofing, material flow, heijunka, and kanban.
  • A holistic thinker who is effective in influencing leaders to develop transformational target states and rapidly drive change through the full organization.
  • Experience and background in adult-learning techniques is a plus.
