Job Description
Account Manager m/f, DACH Region

Position Summary: Accountable for managing and facilitating (where other stakeholders are involved) all aspects of the respective assigned AMS or MS Account(s) within the DACH region, and as required in other locations of EMEA. Accountable for managing hard and soft renewals of assigned accounts. Key priority is to ensure that all financial aspects are correctly executed and that financial reporting is in line with the commitments described within the scope of services to be delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with clients, service vendors and Thermo Fisher staff
  • Interact on a regular basis with EMEA ULS Management regarding regional Account Services operations, get alignment about priorities, goals and to share reports
  • Manage relationships with clients, sales, operations, finance, service solutions etc. to resolve client/Thermo Fisher issues or concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure highest possible client satisfaction within assigned Account(s) and associated personnel
  • Proactively seek and identify program expansion opportunities for ULS and other Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions
  • Closely monitor and ensure successful program implementations for new projects within assigned Account(s) in close collaboration with the Implementation team
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate data input to Resource Center database
  • Responsible for account retention, growth and profitability
  • Responsible for financial analysis and financial recommendations of assigned accounts and relevant reports to line manager and others

Qualifications:
  • University / Master / Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Project Management Certification is a plus as well as experiences in ISO certification processes
  • Proven successful management skills enabling to manage complex tasks under challenging circumstances
  • Strong process orientation and profound experiences to drive change processes successfully
  • Profound financial back ground –able to read and to reference recommendations to a customer balance sheet
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Pharma, BioTech, Medical- and/or Chemical Laboratories, Healthcare or Facilities
  • Field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge
  • Experienced in driving customer allegiance and growing existing customer base
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels, functions and regions at clients and within our Corporation
  • Driving License
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout Europe/European Territory. International traveling outside of Europe and specifically to the US may be required
  • Excellent English and German skills, both verbal and written (In addition, a definite advantage would be a mastery of at least a third European language – French preferred)
