Job Description
Job Title: Senior Sales Analyst
Reports To: Manager, Business Analytics
Group/Division: SDG/IDD
Position Location: Portage, MI

The Immunodiagnostics Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific develops, manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. We are the global leader in allergy and asthma diagnostics.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Sales Analyst is to lead the monthly sales commission process while providing analytical support to the finance, sales, and marketing departments. The Senior Analyst will be accountable for accurately collecting, preparing, and analyzing primary care utilization data to support organizational goals, and have daily oversight of data processing operations, ensuring the data is timely, complete and accurate. Additionally, the Senior Analyst must possess all necessary data and report knowledge to educate the sales field on data and report related issues/questions.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide financial analysis and support to the finance, sales, sales operations and marketing departments
  • Collect and analyze data from laboratory customers with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Prepare and validate commission data
  • Train and support the Sales and Business Analytics team from a data and reporting perspective
  • Develop and lead analytics training for the sales field
  • Maintain Clinical Sales Consultant territory information, and provide financial analysis and support to the finance and sales and marketing departments
  • Perform data mining to identify potential sales data trends and report findings and recommendations to management
  • Assist in preparation of periodic sales presentations for management
  • Provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance by territory, district, and department
  • Assessment of overall business trends (state of the business regionally and nationally)
  • Occasional travel for sales meetings and trainings
  • CRM Champion: Acts as the team expert on CRM and trains team members, and sales field on use of the system
  • Enhance current reports and reporting infrastructure as directed
  • Work extended hours as needed
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or CIS
  • A Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrate Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and detail orientation skills
  • Ability to work with various systems and data sources to gather and assimilate required information
  • Comfortable with large amounts of data and the ability to identify key trends and variances and summarize with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills. Able to multi-task. Bring a strong sense of “customer service”; a strong responsiveness ethic and a sense of urgency and a drive for accurate results
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • High level of experience and skill with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 3+ years experience in data analysis or equivalent field
