  • Must be able to work independently, managing workload to perform preventative and corrective maintenance while also undertaking small to medium manufacturing equipment upgrades. Must be able to evaluate current processes and make improvements for cost reduction, better yield and greater efficiency.
  • Must be comfortable working in pressurized demanding environment, alongside and as part of an established team of experienced maintenance mechanics and maintain the flexibility to adapt priorities at short notice to meet changing business demand
  • Must be able to troubleshoot automation, determine root cause of failure and make improvements to equipment to prevent reoccurrence . This may require the identification of alternatives for obsolete parts. A working knowledge of automated equipment is essential
  • Experience in computer-aided design tools such as Solidworks, LabView experience and prior work with industrial PCs / PXIs a plus.
  • Prior familiarity with CMMS systems advantageous.
  • Proven interests in any of the following validation, continuous improvement, PPI, performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Knowledge in fabrication processes like machining, Sheet metal and welding
  • Must have excellent verbal, written communication skills with a proven record of actively interfacing with both Manufacturing groups and other departments (i.e., Safety, Facilities…) in problem solving with regards to equipment and systems.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and good interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
