Position Summary:
The Director, Information Technology, manages the information systems function for a division/business within a group. S/he provides leadership to the IT team within the division and coordinate, develop, implement and support IT systems/platforms. Acts as a business partner to the division (Transplant Diagnostics – TDX) business leadership team
Key Responsibilities:
• Acts as a key member of the divisional leadership team for TDX
• Establishes IT as a crtitical partner with the business functional leaders
• Determines priorities based on business needs and champions IT enabled business projects/programs with consensus
• Develops future state IT organization focused on business transformation and process optimization
• Concieves and delivers areas of leverage across the TDx business
• Partners with the Specialty Diagnostics Group IT VP and Divsion President to translate business strategy and plans into an IT roadmap that meets the needs of the Transplant Diagnostics business while optimizing the technology investment across the group
• Drives IT aspects of key business initiatives in regards to integration of new acquisitions, ERP platforms, regulatory improvements and other projects as they become prioritized
• Works with shared services and local IT development teams to provide leadership in the implementation and support of company approved application systems
• Develops yearly IT budgets and assures the schedules met
• Complies with company’s Global IT Policies & Procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree with experience in information technology and a functional discipline of sales operations, customer service, manufacturing and supply chain or finance
• Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of delivering sustainable business results
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and gain trust of senior leadership
• Ability to quickly understand the business need and to translatethis to actionable IT solutions
• Experience working in a matrixed organization
• Experience working with a business leveraging IT shared services
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on potentially incomplete information
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
• Broad operational IT experience in a large company environment
• 5 to 10 years experience as an IT manager and leading team in business transformation
• Strong attention to detail
