To work closely with the distribution team at Life Tech’s Frederick Maryland campus on multiple projects, presentations, and measurement systems. To help drive excellence in distribution and promote lean operational techniques in day-to-day operations.
Implement improvement ideas generated by self or other team members (manage from genesis to completion).
Capture and display metrics related to daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually performance.
Work with team members daily on multiple projects with strong adherence to timelines and details.
Conduct data mining activities, analysis, and results presentations to drive improvements.
Create project presentations and help team members on floor by coaching on presentation techniques.
Assist with 5S implementation and Kaizen Events.
May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Works in both an office and warehouse environment. Is required to lift up to 40 lbs. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts. Occasional local travel may be required.

*Minimum Qualifications (must have)
The ideal candidate will be a currently enrolled student, working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in a Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business discipline.
0-2 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Strong oral and written presentation skills along with in depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software.
Experience leading or being part of a project team.

Strong presentation skills, the ability to analyze data critically, as well as a working knowledge of statistical analysis are desired. Experience with 5S, Lean Operations, Six Sigma, and Process Maps a plus.
