Job Description

Job Title: Global Demand Planner, Anatomical Pathology Division
Location: Runcorn, UK

Position Summary:
To be responsible for the product portfolio with specific focus on customer delivery and inventory. To process, monitor and drive improvement in key supply chain metrics by working cross functionally with all departments to deliver to the customer expectations

Specific Tasks
  • Deliver commercial requirements of the business working closely with Sales and Marketing
  • Coordinate the SIOP process and as an output provide Production & Purchasing with volume requirements
  • Drive improvement on forecast accuracy
  • Manage order scheduling in line with business priorities
  • Provide Customer Services with scheduled order data and allocate and reallocate orders accordingly
  • Deliver inventory requirements for the business
  • Establish ABC classification for products based on speed of rotation, revenue generation, margin contribution and component criticality
  • Establish optimal safety stock and work with Sourcing on ideal pack quantities
  • Deliver strategies for rotation and obsolescence management
  • Route cause analysis of product stock outs / overstocks and make proposals to improves
  • Deputise for Global Supply Chain Manager
  • Meet and exceed targets set for LOTC, Overdue PO value, Lead time Performance, DOS and availability within rules
  • Maintain excellent relationships and support all internal contacts.
  • Undertake specific product training
  • Undertake all compliance training necessary including LOC, Dangerous Goods by Air/Road/Rail, Aviation Security etc. as required
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • In depth knowledge of MRP systems and reporting software
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Analytical
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Self motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills, including high level of proficiency in Excel and Access (desirable)
  • Ability to work with or find logic in complex situations
  • Global Travel will be required
Experience Required
  • At least 5 years experience working within a Production environment
  • Demonstrable experience of driving service transformation and implementing significant business process improvements to drive service delivery and an enhanced customer experience.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships and the gravitas to influence at the highest levels.
  • Advocate of Process Improvement and tools including LEAN
Personal Skills Required
  • Ability to communicate well with all personnel (internal & external employees, customers)
  • Self motivated, proactive and dedicated approach.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, reset priorities and work independently
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
