Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3rd party relationship and reporting requirements
  • Support AR Manager on Weekly/Monthly AR reporting to the US including Working Capital file for Region 1 (6 countries)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining AR process manuals and SOP’s in line with Credit Policy set by AR Manager
  • Responsible for training and upskilling staff in the AR across Europe sharing Best Practices
  • Conducting Ledger reviews on UK Debtors on a monthly basis in Region 1
  • Support Manager to Drive improvement to the DSO metric and Bad Debt metrics
  • Responsible for creation of reports to share with the Sales Team to drive joint ownership of debt related issues
  • Resolve issues in a professional and customer focused manner while continuing to adhere to departmental credit policy.
  • Support AR Manager in bringing working hours back to contracted levels by managing workloads using company tools
  • Support AR Manager to allow focus on more strategic improvements with the AR function across Europe
  • Co-ordinator for the local team in the UK

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Substantial amount of related financial experience
  • Excellent organizational/team work skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines
  • Experience and competent in invoicing and credit control processes.
  • The individual must be able to work as both part of a team, across functions and on their own initiative, be flexible and to review current practices with the target of improving the department to achieve modern best practices.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Maintain effective communication both internally and externally with vendors.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) qualified or currently studying towards
  • Ability to manage self and resources, including time and surrounding circumstances to deliver both short and long term goals.
  • Able to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time. Able to prioritise as required and deliver projects within budget and to time.
  • Advanced capabilities on Word, Excel and Powerpoint together with accounting packages
  • Attention to detail
  • To work effectively with others at all levels to accomplish internal targets and business goals.
  • The ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Someone who contributes ideas, disagrees tactfully, shares success and actively listens
