  • Develop demand plan through a combination of sales feedback, market analysis, and statistical modeling.
  • Reduce demand uncertainty by generating accurate forecasts based on historical and other pertinent information obtained by acting as a primary interface between marketing and sales.
  • Determine the impact of various sales and marketing plans, such as new product introductions, price increases/decreases, product withdrawal or obsolescence, promotions and incentives and modify the demand plan accordingly.
  • Lead the monthly demand review discussions for assigned product lines and regions.
  • Reconcile demand, supply and new product plans to both the detail and aggregate levels aligning to the strategic plan.
  • Initiates dialogue & proactively supports operations management to improve productivity, capacity utilization and resource planning.
  • Communicates supply constraints (capacity, resource & material), participates in long term capacity assessments and acts as liaison between sales, marketing, customer service and plant production.
  • Monitor & recommend finished goods inventory levels within local distribution center & applicable geographies to ensure customer service levels are achieved and enable a quick and flexible response to unexpected changes in either supply or demand.
  • Review performance measures weekly & monthly to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Develop and manage local distribution center safety stock, hosting review meetings, analyzing and controlling inventory levels to optimize service levels, process mapping and documentation.
  • Monitor and report on inventory turnover and shrinkage (i.e., product obsolescence, scrap, returns) and develop ways optimize inventory, minimize cost while maintaining flexibility in the supply chain.
  • Oversee buyer’s updates of the ERP system to adjust inventory levels to meet overall demand, including reorder points, reorder quantities, sales lead times and safety stock.
  • Responsible for accuracy/routine maintenance of demand & supply data within the ERP system or equivalent including forecast, inventory and distribution data.
  • Ensure coordination with finance to evaluate the revenue forecast and validate to the divisional strategy.

Requirements/ Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Two – five years of Materials forecasting, Planning, Purchasing and inventory control experience in a manufacturing and/or global supply chain environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail and process oriented.
  • High level of MS Excel skill, MS Access a plus.
  • SAP experience preferred.
